Here's the final chapter on the Lanaverre 590. There are small pieces of steel embedded in polyester resin in the keel weighing 309 lbs. with an additional 65 lb. stainless steel centerboard for a total of about 375 lbs. of ballast. Here is the review of the original version of the 590

After the peak in the boating industry the moulds for the 590 were sold to Brunet France who produced an updated version of the boat. Here's the review.

As is the case with many fine boats that have gone out of production the Brunet moulds are sitting in a field gathering dust.
