Lanaverre 590 - More Pics

It looks like the Lanaverre 590 has been around for quite a while. A review published in 1972 says "The boat will be perfect for the man who likes family sailing with fast performance.. or even racing if their popularity and numbers grow. An uncommonly fast boat in what appeared to be practically still conditions. " But it looks like the boat can fly in a nice breeze !!!

They claim a total ballst of 309 lbs. and I'm guessing most of that is in the stub keel because it looks like you can lift the centerboard with a pennant on the bridge deck. Also the cockpit has changed over the years from sit on to sit in.
